La Buchana

La Buchana is one of the newest wrecks in Gibraltar. She was an old Tug boat that was towed out to sea and sunk deliberately. This wreck provides excellent penetration opportunities - and is a firm favourite with the Dive Masters and Instructors locally. A 'Must Do' dive!

She lies at 19 meters of water and sits proudly upright on a flat sandy bottom. She is 25 meters long, 8 meters wide and is home to a wide variety of marine life.

What can be found on the site:

• Octopus

• Cuttlefish

• Conger and Moray eels

• Nudibranchs

• Spider crabs and common lobster

• Wide range of fish species

This dive site is suitable for advanced certified divers and upwards.
