Course Overview: The PADI Drysuit Diver course is designed for certified divers who wish to explore cold-water diving environments while maintaining warmth and comfort. This course teaches students how to safely use a drysuit and manage buoyancy effectively, allowing for enjoyable dives in various conditions. Course Prerequisites: Minimum age: 10 years old (10-11 year-olds can earn a Junior Drysuit Diver certification). Must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent certification from another training organization). Must have your own Drysuit, or one that fits you to complete the course. Course Duration: Theory: Online e-learning included Confined Water Training: 1 day (practical skills in a controlled environment). Open Water Dives: 2 dives at Camp Bay. Course Components: Confined Water Training: Equipment familiarization: Putting on and adjusting the drysuit. Skills practice: Entering and exiting the water. Managing air in the drysuit for buoyancy control. Conducting proper emergency procedures, such as drysuit inflation failure. Practicing skills like a controlled descent and ascent. Open Water Dives: Conduct two open water dives under the supervision of a PADI instructor. Apply the skills learned in confined water in a real diving environment. Focus on buoyancy control and effective use of the drysuit while diving. Course Materials included Rental of drysuit not included in course price, subject to availability from Staff (recommended to have your own Drysuit). Certification: Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a PADI Drysuit Diver certification, allowing them to dive with a drysuit anywhere in the world.
